MyPascoConnect is a centralized cloud-based solution that is used within the Pasco County School district in Florida. It serves as a launchpad of a Single Sign-On (SSO) Where students, teachers and staff can access all their activities related to school, using one username and password to access all the computing devices they have access.

Login to MyPascoConnect

Logging into MyPascoConnect is the main way in which Pasco County students and staff have access to their Digital Classrooms. Below is a step-by-step detailed procedure for Logging into MyPascoConnect.

Student Login Procedure

Students in Pasco County Schools will have access to their Digital Classroom through myPascoConnect Portal. This single sign-on (SSO) system gives you instant access to Canvas (myLearning), Office 365 and digital textbooks.

  • Click here or enter mypascoconnect.pasco.k12.fl.us with the help of Google Chrome.
  • Click Sign In: Click on the “Sign in to myPascoConnect” blue button.
  • Enter Credentials:
    • Username: Your 6-digit Student ID (Lunch Number), e.g., 123456.
    • Password: Your LDAP password which was assigned to you by your district. This is usually within a particular pattern (e.g. Susan21# , a capitalized five letter word, two numbers, and a symbol).
  • First-Time Login: If this is your first-time login, the system may ask you to enter your password twice in order to authenticate you.
  • Dashboard Access: After being authenticated, you will be forwarded to your LaunchPad which represents all of your learning apps.

Teacher Login Steps

Teachers at Pasco County Schools are using myPascoConnect Portal as the main single sign-on (SSO) dashboard access point to the tools they need to teach in the classroom, including Canvas (myLearning), myStudent, and Office 365.

  • Click here or enter mypascoconnect.pasco.k12.fl.us with the help of Google Chrome.

    • Username: Use your Munis Employee self-service or eSembler user credentials.
    • Password: The password that you set up when you created your account.
  • Confirm Identity (First-time Only): Depending on the institution, you might have to specify your password several times to prove your identity to get secure access to your work accounts.
  • Dashboard Access: After you log in, you will have your LaunchPad, which has icons for all the applications you are authorized to access.

These icons are quite different depending on the grade level. They apply the “Password Locker” technology, which means that the first time a student clicks them he/she may have a need to enter a publisher-specific user/password. After that, it is remembered forever by ClassLink.

Parent Login Process

Pasco County Schools website primarily provide access to student information to parents/caregivers using the myStudent Parent Portal. This portal gives parents the ability to look at grades, track student attendance and view student login information.

The icons that are visible to one user greatly depend on his or her role (Student vs. Staff) and grade level (Elementary vs. Secondary). Microsoft Office 365

This is perhaps the most important tool for students and staff, as it is the digital backpack for file storage and file creation.

  • The “Waffle” Menu: Click the Office 365 tile and it opens the suite where users access Word, Excel, Powerpoint and OneNote.
  • OneDrive: OneDrive is a service that Pasco County Schools tends to use for cloud storage. Students are encouraged to store all work here in order to allow for “One Roster” continuity – meaning, if we switch computers or work from home our work files would be accessible at anytime.
  • Outlook: This is the interface of student email. It is the main official channel for the district communication.

myLearning (Canvas)

  • Canvas is the Learning Management System (LMS) under the branding name of myLearning from the district.
  • Function: This is where the “school work” lives. Students use this space to access modules, submit assignments, take quizzes and access feedback from the teacher.
  • WebReader Tool: Canvas has an in-built accessibility tool called “WebReader” (which in many cases, is included in the immersive reader features). It has the ability to read text aloud, translate text, and highlight verbs/nouns to help students with reading comprehension difficulties.

College & Career Readiness

  • Xello: Beginning with the 2024-2025 year, Xello is replacing Naviant as the district’s college and career planning platform, largely. Students use it to create portfolios, take career interest assessments and monitor graduation requirements.
  • FloridaShines: A state-funded mechanism for monitoring progress towards “Bright Futures” scholarships and researching requirements of universities in Florida.
